Age Categories & Handicaps

AGE CATEGORIES

 

The entries are divided into several Categories according to age and engine capacity.

 

•  Edwardian (registered before 31.12.18)
•  Vintage (registered between 1.1.19 and 31 .12 .30)

•  Post Vintage (registered between 1.1.31 and 31 .12 .39)

 

The above Categories may be merged or subdivided if the number of entries in any one of them warrants this.

 

The Organisers reserve the right to place some models in an earlier or a later Age Category if they deem this fairer.

 

HANDICAPS

 

For the fairness of the competition a handicap will be given to each car based on its year of registration.

 

The system of handicap points can best be illustrated through examples:

 

For a car with an Age from 1920:

Handicap factor 1,20 (1 + ‘20 divided by 100)

 

For a car with an Age from 1939:

Handicap factor 1,39
